1903/03A3 barrel identification

Sometime back I bought a 4 groove, '03A3 barrel from Numerich. There wasn't much information available about it, but it was dirt cheap, so I bought it. The outside is nothing to write home about, but the bore and rifling is excellent.

The only identifying mark I can find is a "3" near the breach..nothing near the front sights cuts, or anywhere else that I can see.

The exterior is rough and has a bit of light rust. It almost looks like it was once parkerized and had the parkerization removed.

Anyone have any ideas on the origins of this barrel?

Anyone seen the Criterion or Citadel 03A3 barrels? Isn't that what Numerich sells as replacement 03A3 barrels?

Do they have any markings on them? Just wondering if this could have been from a batch of Criterion or Citadel barrels that somehow had the parkerizing damaged and had it stripped off.

Numerich was selling them for about $45 couple of years back. There wasn't much of a description IIRC except that it was a 4 groove 1903 or 03A3 barrel.

I do not think these were ever used..here are a couple of pics of the breach. It looks pretty pristine...on the inside.
