Recoil Plate diamensions

I need a little information. I have made recoil plates for a couple of members ( different forum) but there is a question on the diamensions of the recoil plates. I have seen .450 square in .125 thickness, I have also seen .430x.550x.100 with a camfer on the top edge. If anyone could supply the correct measurements or a copy of the drawing I would be most appreciative.

Here ya go, they're well used and both from one side of the rifle judging by the recoil lug dents. They've also seen use on both sides! hard to do with those countersunk holes. The dimensions are taken across clean parts of them, ie no burrs etc.

Garra, why don't you save yourself the bother and just patch the old fore-end with an oak insert as per the simple written up on this forum a year or so ago. It's simplicity itself to do and zillions of Armourers have done the same to zillions of fore-ends since the year dot.

I'm sure someone can resurrect the article........, not being a computer literate myself!
