Would it be the privi partizan stuff? I ask because I am considering entering a fun match for vntage military snipers at long range (600, 800 100 yards) and will need to use the elevation on the No.32 scope and have it work the same as it was intended.
Prvi has boat tail bullets. Closest match I've found required handloading Sierra 180gr Gamekings. But no tests beyond 700yds, yet!

Out of all of the North American brands I've used, Winchester Grey Box 180 grain has proven to be the most consistent performer in my accurate 303Br rifles. Many times it's as good as anything I can hand load. I have 4 different rifles that will shoot it into an inch at 100 yards and hold the one minute of angle out to 500 yards. I haven't shot it further than that so I can't tell you where the bullet starts to lose stability.
Finding a modern ammunition that matches the ballistics of the original Mk.7 close enough for you to use the deflection and elevatoin drums with any confidence is going to be difficult if not impossible. There's more to it than just matching muzzle velocities, the bullets themselves need to have the same B.C., roughly the same length and profile or else they will have different trajectories. What i would recommend is get at least one box of ammo from every manufacturer i can loaded with FMJ or FMJ hollow point bullets and shoot them through my rifle in 5 shot groups at various ranges to find the one it likes best. Then, go back and get as many of these as you will need to shoot in the match plus a few extra boxes, preferably with matching lot numbers. Next, take a piece or masking tape an wrap around the ranging drum. Go back to the range, set up targets at 100 yard intervals, get the rifle shooting center of target, make a witness mark in line with the one on the housing and record the number of ''clicks'' it takes to get there in a log book as a back up. Thats bout the best you can do.
Remington white-box 174 grain FMJ-BT is as close to original MK VII as you can get. Velocity is 2440 fps and shoots to my No4Mk2 sights out to 300 yards (as far as I can shoot here) Great stuff and good brass too.

Rooting around this morning and found some Prvi 180 soft points. Might be worth consideration. What makes your quest more problematic is that the Mk.VII bullet is long for its weight due to the filler in the nose of the bullet. So, B.C. is apt to be a skosh higher than conventional flat based ammo, but less than the HPBT bullets or MAYBE the FMJBTs. Additionally, various mfg's. measure BC a little differently as its not really a constant. (It varies w/ velocity) As noted above, you will actually have to try various combos at the maximum ranges anticipated, and then wok back to see what matches the scope numbers the best IF you intend on relying purely on the engaved numbers. Otherwise, just see what shoots the best for you and make up a "come-ups" cheat sheet. I'm pretty sure that's what your competitors are doing...

I also have some .303 Kynoch streamlined ammo in my collection dating from 1939 including the boxes which has a boat tailed bullet which weighs 174 grains. This would have been the fore runner of the MKV111 bullet.
