These glider pilots, among the first to strike their boots on enemy held soil, fought their way back through German held territory, reached the beachhead, caught the first available evacuation boat back to England and returned to fly another. Yea, they were pilots until they landed. Then they were Infantry.
M3 fighting knives, jump gloves, extra ammo, helmets, packs and M1's.
