M1 stock. Walnut or Birch?

Looks like it's been there, but what's underneath looks interesting.

IMHO, brown-stained birch.

The 3rd picture makes me think Birch. The 4th gives me some doubt. Well at that price, I won't lose money on it, when I put it back up for sale.

Birch,, but like finlog stated that is a good price for DAS marked wood. I also bet it would clean up good. Rick B
