carbine stock cartouche
I have a saginaw carbine. It's very nice but has been reconditioned by Carbine Bud Evers. (beautiful job). I bought it from him in 1996.
I'm pretty sure it's not a saginaw stock but I could use some help on the markings on it.
1, there is a square on the left side above the trigger guard with what looks more like a G A D than the normal G H D. I could be wrong though. The letters above are gone.
2, There is a P in a circle on the bottom of the grip.
3, In the sling well ther is what looks lik a l followed by R then a period. ( l R. )
Also a small flaming bomb.
I don't see any more markings anywhere on the stock. It has been re-finished.
One last question. Does anyone know if there is a carbine expert and smith here in the Salt Lake area?
Thanks,
Danoaz .

A stock marked IR in the sling well with nothing other then a flaming bomb is a war time replacement stock made by the Robert Irwin company.
