Don't know of a TE. Could that be the inspector's initials along with the Arsenal initials. Can you post a picture?

OG...........Ogden Arsenal

I believe it stands for Toole. I cannot remember where it was located.

I was thinking myself that Toole, UT used TE on Garand rebuilds.
The old arsenal is on what is now Hill AFB, IIRC

Yes, the saginaw I just sold had TE-5-71 on the left side below bolt cut out.
