The LE web slings will fit all the models. A 1905 would have come with the leather pattern sling originally. I'm sure one of our experts will have more specifics.Quote:

Good grief, I've been looking for "pattern 14" slings for years.
I have 5 as new, dated 1940, PI marked, on the sling shelf. The price tag for the was $7.50 for a bundle of 5. Picked them up at a Lumby gun show 3 years ago in a grab box.
Right under my nose all this time and didn't know what I had.

IMA has repro slings.
John Denner used to have the originals,maybe he still does.
COLLECTOR's SOURCE sometimes has them,too.
I just bought one from EBAY for $9.48. They call it an original British L1A1 SLR Rifle sling - Enfield. I know it's not original for this 1905 SHTLE but it serves the purpose.
HERETIC! Just kidding, these rifles were saw such long service, that many types of slings can be "correct". My favourite SMLE was made in 1911, at BSA. It was stamped VIC. on the receiver ring, that was crossed out, and D arrow D stamped beside it. It bears markings that show that it was rebuilt in 1944. The bolt has three canceled numbers, in addition to the correct one. The only original BSA part is the nosecap, and it came with a CANADIAN Z,L,&T Co. sling. The sling also has the D arrow D, so it was used in Aussie service. The slings are really all quite similar, until the material changed to synthetic after the KOREAN war.
