According to the add the no.4T's were Indian, ''Ishapore manufacture and markings''. I shelled out way more than that for my Indian T and I did'nt get a scope tin.:crying:
Heart palpitations….
Had a link sent to me by LERA and there were No4 T's if I remember correctly selling for under $50.00 with transit cases. They went up in price $5.00 about 3 months later. Oh the date was 1961/2
Oh to own a time machine!!!:banghead:
I made a trip to Alexandria, Virginia, back in 1961 and bought five No.4Mk.1T rifles, complete with transit cases, scopes, and scope tins for $49.95 each. At the time, the Canadian Dollar was worth about $1.10, so the actual cost in Canadian money was about 10% less. If I recall right, it cost about 6% Duty and Taxes to get them into Canada. We didn't have to be concerned with Gun Control Laws, Homeland Security and all the rest of the crap we have now.

Aaarrrghh!
Yes, grasshopper....it was on a Wednesday if I recall. Your turn to buy the Guinness :-)##
I will see your bet and raise it a $79 4T and a $39.50 No 5.
Hindsight 20/20?
