I bought a large box of .303 issue ammo at the Reno Gunshow. Head stamped with a small triangle and the numeral "2". It is dated 1907. Bullet is nickel. Any ideas? Thank you.

Iraq produced ammo headstamped with a small triangle. Is the Numeral 2 clearly marked? There is an iraqi symbol that is similar to '2' that I have seen on .303. A photo might help.
It is Iraqi, and the date is actually 1956. Not good ammo, but you might be lucky. Hope you didn't pay a premium price.
So I wasn't the only one at the Reno show - did you see the mismatched No.4 (T) for $2750? There were one or two No.4s and No.1 Mk.111s that I might have been tempted to buy, but someone bought me a signed copy of Mr. Skennerton's book "The Lee Enfield" so I got all distracted.
Reno prices are all over the map. I see guys walking around with rifles on their shoulders for crazy money. A dealer buddy of mine bought a re-welded M1 Carbine. He didn't know what he had and asked me to help. He was not happy. You really have to be alert at gunshows.
