GI M1 Carbine 15 Round Mags

Can someone please tell me how the springs inside the 15 and 30 round GI mags should be oriented? Several posts I've read mentioned that reversing the spring from the correct orientation could cause feeding failures. I've been bothered with failures recently after I overhauled some mags.

Reply to your PM sent, but for others: The long side of the spring goes to the rear: \/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/ + the top would go to the rear. Many aftermarket 30 (Korean UU excepted) have terrible springs. Chestnut Ridge supply has new USGI 30 round springs for a few bucks each in bulk.
