Need Help, slide jumping track

I have a 1943 Inland that is a nice rifle except the slide jumps the track all the time. I tried a different bolt, a different slide, 3 types of ammo, four different magazines including GI mags that work fine in other rifles, a spring that works well in other carbines but to no avail. It might cycle the first round but inevitably on the second thru fith round the slides disengage the bolt and jump the track. Rifle is clean, well lubed. Any suggestions? Could it be rough chamber? Does not look bad though.

sounde like the slide track on the receiver itself is worn. Try working the slide manually with outward pressure on the charging handle and see if you can find where it jumps track. What kind of ammo are you using?

What happens is the bolt disengaes from the cam area of slide and the front of the slide ends up outside the right side of the receiver. I have tried winchester, remington and aguila ammo. Same result.

Sounds like a Pain in the A$$,

Help needed...

Take the slide stop out of the slide, put it back together and try it. Then you can eliminate that.

I had the same problem with an inland. The receiver track was so worn the slide wouldn't stay engaged. If that's the case there's nothing you can do except replace the receiver.

Possibly but you have the dismount notch that is a opening for it to come out of.

Yes, that's true. Doing CSI work on a rifle is both fun and frustrating though!

It would help to know where you are located. Mayby someone would be close enough to you to look at it and then help.
