I am astonished at the condition of this rifle, it is like new. The reciever shows almost no wear marks from the bolt or op rod, the muzzle is 1 and the throat is 2. There isn't any carbon buildup on the gas port and the rest of the rifles finish is perfect. The most amazing thing was the stock, absolutely beautifull, with hardly any handling marks, matching upper and lower handguard and a very sharp DAS. It is a service grade H&R and if not for the SA bolt and trigger assembly it would be all correct. I am extremely happy with my CMP rifle. I spent almost three hours tonight removing the cosmoline, I had a most enjoyable time doing it, especially when I saw the result.
