HELP - CMP Forum
I changed my EMail address on the CMP forum. Now when I try to post I get this message
Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
All I can think of is that maybe after making a change to my EMail address my account was "disabled" and it is "awaiting activation". If this is the case does anyone know how long this may take ??? :banghead:

Hello Joe ... :)
Well, we can't really provide you with direct support for the CMP forums on our site, but I did some digging and checking for you. I would suggest you go this forum:
Forum Webmaster - CMP Forums (click here)
I notice that it's designed for help and as such, permits un-registered members to post public threads, which in-turn seem to be responded to by a user named GhostInTheMachine, who appears to be a Site Administrator.
With an email change, you should have received an email sent to you that requires you re-validate who you are by clicking a link, so maybe you should check the mail boxes of both your old and new email addresses, just to see if there's something there. Depending upon how busy a site is, it can take some time for those validation emails to arrive.
Try that and I hope it helps solve your problem .....
Regards,
Doug

Hi Joe,
Just to add a small thing to check in addition to Doug's (Badger) suggestions -
Be sure to check the 'spam' or 'junk mail' folders in your new and old email address to see if you may have received a validation email but it ended up there. Sometimes automated emails such as those sent for validations will get tagged as spam by your email service and you won't notice them at first.
Please keep us posted.
