Parts Question
Recently purchased a Winchester M1 Carbine and I am going through the parts to see what I ended up with. The trigger is marked LT and the Hammer shows an NH marking. Could these be variations of parts produced for Winchester?
As a second question...what is the significance of K.art stamped on top of a carbine receiver directly in front of the rear sight? Thanks for your help on these issues.....JKL

That trigger housing is probably a Talon stamped and brazed not Winchester, Hammer is Hunter Arms for NPM, not Winchester. Winchester made their own trigger housings and hammers.

The trigger is a WWII era replacement made by Ludlow Typograph Co.
The K. art is the marking for the Norwegian Costal Artillery.

Thanks for the information...I've seen info on the "Bavarian" and other German carbines--now I will need to see what I can find about the Norwegian Coastal Artillery....JKL
