Yes, Greasegun. Although you see lots of pistols being carried, it has been proven using enemy weapons in action to be terminal to your health. The foreign weapon has a distinct signature that will draw friendly fire like a magnet. Pistols not so much. I know for a fact as a Senior NCO, I would never have allowed my troops to carry a full sized weapon when their own family was available. Pistols? Who cares.
