Got this in a lot of parts I just bought. Any ideas as to what it goes to? It looks military, but not like anything I've seen before. By the way, somebody let me know if the pic didn't post, I'm trying to do this from my phone for the first time. Very similar to a monkey with a Rubik's Cube.
May be Swiss or Italian. I have seen them before, But due to old age, cannot remember where they originated...
Mystery solved. It belongs to a CETME.
Besides fitting the CETME, it will also fit the front tubes in the Spanish bolt action FR7 and FR8 rifles.

I don't even have a smart phone, so I've way behind the curve in that department. All my phone has is a camera and I didn't even want the camera when I bought it but they didn't sell phones without at least having a camera built in anymore.
I just figured out how to use the camera a couple of months ago to send photos. I was replacing a broken commode for my 70 year old mom and when I got to Home Depot they had four different styles of commodes and three colors. I just knew I'd get the wrong one so took photos of all of them and sent them to my mom's phone so she could 'shop virtually' -
Not even sure how I managed it but it worked at her end and she chose the one she wanted from the photos I sent to her cell. (She didn't know her cell could show photos but they showed up for her well enough to pick out the one she wanted) Pretty cool this technology is at times.
My phone service just sent me a notice saying I can get a free replacement 'smart phone' and I'm timid about doing it. Guess I need to get out of the stone age and catch up with the rest of you young whippersnappers.
