New life is brought to this wounded marine as blood plasma is administered on the beach at Tarawa. Credit another life to the blood plasma donated to the Red Cross.

I just love that series of pictures there are some great details in there....
top pic long M1905/42 bayonets issued with M1 Garands..plain HBT dungaree top worn by the marine in the middle...."browns out" helmet covers and the DR-8 commo wire reel in shot.
middle picture..plain HBT dungaree tops worn by the corpsmen...BAR man has M1936 army pattern suspenders on and what looks like an M3 knife in his legging top.
bottom pic....marine in the centre foreground wearing the very rare square demolitions backpack..all that lovely new depot made USMC 782 gear and the unique "cam lock " USMC specific jerrycans
