Yugoslavian M95M
Hello all, one from the Vaults (bonus points if you caught that film reference) for you today is my M95M which I purchased from a semi-local gunshop. They are known for being ******s and generally don't want to help you with anything, let alone milsurps, and so I felt good leaving with with something I knew was special but didn't know how special. Let us just say, that they did not get a fair price for the rifle but it's only because they didn't know enough and I didn't care enough to inform them!
So what I ended up with was a Yugoslavian M95M which as best I have been able to figure out, started life as a Mannlicher M95 that was bought or given to Yugoslavia after the First World War and converted to a more "mauser" like rifle. When I got it, it did not have the correct magazine and I played Mary Hell finding one but I did and installed it. Still some tweaking to do in order to make it accept the 8mm rounds and keep them in place but I am working on it a little at a time. With very limited resources in terms of reference material, I was hoping that one of you out there might have one and might not mind sharing some pictures of the magazine assembly.
As best I can gather, these are pretty uncommon and I have not been able to find another like it.
Here are some pictures:

So let me know what you guys think about it and any help and/or advise is always welcome!

Years back they were common. But almost with a busted extractor. This was the way they were de-milled. Making the correct extractor is very difficult and is a frequent topic on the many straight-pull forums.
