Argentine M1909 Carbine 1st Time @ 200yds
Very pleasantly surprised. This all-matching, DWM-built rifle (okay, carbine!) is a beauty to look at, and a real treat to shoot. Seems to like this PPU ammo. Interesting that at 100 yards, the windage was just about perfect; it shot to POA right on the bullseye. But at 200, I hold to hold left, as shown on the target. It took several sighting shots (not visible here) scattered around the aiming black before I figured out the sight picture. Then, holding on that POA position as the sight picture, I finally nailed that one at one o'clock in the X-ring, and shot my last four rounds for a group of five. No wind, BTW.
I'd like to find more of that PPU Argy ammo! Very nice brass, and I will definitely reload it, trying to at least duplicate the out-of-the box performance. ...Now I need to try it in my Argy M1909 rifle.
