AMOUNT OF AMMO IN BULGARIAN TIN/LEAD SEALED BOXES?

Normally 440 rds.
I had some 50s bulgarian that came 300 to a tin.
I think he means the case the spam cans come in. If it is a lead sealed zinc case then it might not be 7.62x54 but 7.62x25 for the pistols/subguns. I don't remember seeing zinc cases for the rifle round but have for the pistol rounds.
The 50s Bulgarian that I had came 300 to a tin, and the tins were zinc (actually galvanized steel I think) sealed with lead. It had a ring that you pulled to open it. Like a pack of juicy fruit gum. I got it at a gunshow, and IIRC there were 3 tins to a wooden crate.
