Polish WZ98a.
Found a Polish WZ for sale. Price $250, appears in very good shape. Receiver is bare, however, except for what appears to be a very small Z in circle stamp. Czech possibly? Numbers match. Might could get it bought for around $190-200. Worth the money or not?

Actually I believe I was wrong about the model. It's a 29. I have had 0 contact with Pole Mausers. They just do not show up in this area.

That sounds like a Polish Mauser to me- they are more often than not blank on the receiver... Hey, here is one for you. Does it look a bit like a Kar98az but with a less than graceful stacking rod? Additionally, if it has a cut out in the stock for a bent bolt but has a straight bolt then you have stumbled upon a polish k98 that was built to be sent to Spain during their civil war. In general, Polish Mausers are growing more scarce and if it were me, I would be all over that $250 one. I still don't have one but have been searching for a while for one I am comfortable spending the sort of money they command. Typically, they seem to start around $300 and go way on up there into the $1000s for some of the rarer birds. I say buy it; if it's all there and decent looking, money says it's worth a bit more than $250. Heck, I'd probably buy it from you for that much if it pained you to own it! :p

Minimum $750 Canadian/US dollars. They are scarce and very collectible. Jump on it!

It's definitely a Pole. Polish eagle on bolt handle, found out the circle Z is indeed a Radom mark. Think I'll head over and get it!
