Garand Bayonet with HMAK & Crown question
I saw an auction listing for a bayonet described as having a rare "woodgrain scabbard" with a Crown and the letter HMAK stamped on the metal. The Bayonet is a US GI Bayonet. The scabbard does look wood grain But I think it is the fiberglass of the scabbard that malkes it look like that. I thought it was a Danish issue but then I pulled mine out and my Dane has a Crown with FKF. Can anybody enlighten me as to what the HMAK and Crown indicate? Thanks, Bob B.
