VZ-58 Question?

:confused: Bought a beautyful mint new CZ VZ-58 in feb. and love it better than any AK! researched the net and found out from some of our Canadian members, that you all have had those available for a long time! I wonder who come, since from what i hear you all can own those, but not any AKs.
I find that really strange and just wondered!
the only thing i dont like about them is the fact, the ones imported here have bay. lug cut as well as having a 1/2 in. extension welded to muzzle,
since here if barrel is less than 16 in. have to pay $200. tax and register it as an SBR! Oh well, cant have it all! :super:

Yes, it is really strange. Canadian gun laws make very little sense.

AK's are prohibited by name here, VZ's are not. As long as the VZ's were manufactured as semi-auto rifles they can be imported and used.
