Well I am restoring a Lee Enfield No. 4 MK1 I have found a mint barrel for it and No.3 bolt head. Now all I need is Action Wrench and Barrel vise. Looking for and tips. Has anyone done this before on here. This is going to take some time. I still need the stock. I want to do this right.
I'd suggest getting someone like Brian Dick at BDL Ltd to do it for you. While it's possible to buy the tools and just do it, it's very easy to wreck a receiver. They can be frightfully tight. Also they are not always a breeze to index and breech up with the corrrect tension, to adjust this you will need a lathe. I am going to send it to Brian I already email him. Looking at the the tools needed it is cheaper then doing it myself. some day I will get all the tools just I want to do it some day and I am going to find a job as machinist apprenticeship then moving on to gunsmithing.
