Here is a few pictures of a bolt on G Broker for sale. It only shows the # 1 stamped into it from the pictures but looks like a large vent hole.
I was wondering if somebody here could place a time frame on it as I looked all over VIshooters page and cannot find any info for it.
It appears to be a straight bolt. If so, and there are no markings on any side of the safety lug, it is a very early Springfield or Rock Island bolt body.
Wanderer - That bolt has been on GB for some time now. It is a SC A3 bolt. It looks like the original finish is gone and someone applied some cold-blue.
IIRC, it was overpriced, for a bolt body with no original finish.
OK, thank you. I saw the handle had the slight curve and with the big hole it had to be later model but am still learning this stuff. Their could possibly be some other marks not being shown to disguise it. That is why I posted it here as thought it would be recognized pretty fast.
The angle of the photo makes it hard to see the curved bolt handle but it can not hide the ground down area around the safety lug. Another ID point, not visible in the photos, is the presence of detents on the bottom of the left locking lug.

Yes the curves hid pretty good, I am pretty sure they do these things to trick people like me to spend money and find out too late it is the wrong part.:dunno:
