GARAND STOCK ????"s

yes both are HRA stocks

The picture with the short channel and longer channel side by side is of a 50s cartouhced or fourth stock that I was using for comparison and it is a HRA. its channel is slightly under 2" where the one on the right is in the 2 1/4 length. That and the markings (X instead of P and the 4 digit number pictured on the side of butt) gave me hope it would shed more light as to it's origin. The back grounds are purposely different to separate the three different uncartouched stocks.
