Interesting picture! Some are looking for protection in the ditch and the two others are walking like they were on a sunday walk?!
I think they are actually hiding from the 2 officers walking up the road. Some guys will do anything to get out of work details. ;)

And, of course, the photographer is standing up. One guy is grabbing the side of the ditch as if there are rounds incoming.
