I bought a M91/30 and a SKS but need some help

Hello guys,

I recently bought my first gun which is the M91/30 for $89.99 and I love it! I have had a good time trying to figure out everything about the gun but I am having a hard time trying to figure out all the markings. Mine is covered in markings that I have no idea what they mean. If you guys would be so grateful, I have taken pictures of it so that you know what markings I am seeing. Here they are:

The second gun I bought was a Chinese Made SKS. It is fun to play with but I still like my Mosin. I picked this up at a local Pawn Shop for $210, I think it was a steal! I do not know too much about my SKS either. I was really stunned that it has a AK clip instead of the normal SKS clip. My question here is, do you think it is made this way or was it modified? I have read that the Chinese made a model stock that could use a AK Clip (I believe it is called a SKS-D?). I am not sure how to verify what exactly it is. And again, if you all could be so kind as to help me, it would be very appreciated. Here are the pictures for my SKS:

91/30 - Made at the Izhevsk Arsenal in 1942, that's the arrow in the triangle. The K is a point of aim proofmark, the square is probably a re-arselnal mark metal but usually has a parallel line down the center of it. Wood will most likely have a diagonal line through the square. Serial number should also be stamped on the bolt and the bottom of the magazine cover.

Most of the other markings are going to be proof marks of some type or inspectors marks. Take the wood off and there will be dozens of them.

Also, what do you think of the Mosin? Is it good for 89.99? I think it is in great condition for the age.

Love it. I have two of them and an M44 carbine. Got a good deal I think.

I am still amazed that you can purchase a fully functional high power rifle of any sort for less than $100. $89 is a good price for one of these. They can be acquired for less but not by much. $79 is about the lowest you will see one these days and that's special sales and they are coming along less often now as the sources start to dry up. There should be no issues with condition, they were rebuilt to "like new" before put into storage although there may be some mixed parts and pitting here and there. What you have is a war time production rifle that has a metal finish, especially the barrel, which is somewhat rough. They milled them but didn't polish them as it was not a requirement for them to function and it was more important to get them into the hands of their soldiers than to have them look nice. I have one very similar to yours only it is an ex-sniper. Same year, same arsenal. I'm in the process of turning it back into a sniper. Sent the bolt out yesterday to get it converted and will be getting it drilled for the mount soon. It happened to be a Dunham's $79 sale rifle last spring. I have three others, two hex receivers and a round receiver pre-war Tula. They shoot great but the safety is a real pain. I've also been told they have a hefty kick to them but I've never been one to notice recoil much having shot rifles most of my life.
