One comment:
Looking at the documents one ship in particular should have been preserved. The RAME HEAD was the last surviving 'Fort' Class WWII ship. British designed and Canadian built, it was the equivalent to the American Liberty ships.

Surely, someone in HM government should have had some sense of the historical value. Apparently considerations of the budget deficit far outweighed any consideration of preservation for the IWM.
