Inland General Motors M1 4-43

I have a few co-workers interested in my Inland M1. I have no idea what a fair price would be to sell it. What do you guys think? I got it from my step-father and I have cleaned the gun since the pictures were taken and have fired it at the range. Thanks

I think it depends on the co-worker and individual circumstances. Is it the type of person that has always "been there for you" and helped you when you needed something, or is it someone that might just be wanting to turn the gun for quick profit? It looks like a pretty nice gun, and no need to let it go at a lower price unless you are wanting to give a good friend a special deal. If it were mine, I would ask at least $900 - maybe $1,000. See the thread "Houston Gun Collectors" and you will get an idea where the market seems to be going on carbines. - Bob

That is a very nice rebuild as stated in your previous thread on it. Don't give it away. You can give away the case and sling, though. Just figure the actual gun in the price. I had said $800, Bob says $900-$1000, so you should get $900 minumum. I'm sure Bob is more in tune with 'what's happening now' than I am. It is hard to believe that a rebuilt carbine will bring that much, but it is what it is. You would probably be amazed at where it would go if you started it at $799 on Gunbroker and had a set of pictures after the cleaning.

I agree. It is a very nice, clean post-war rebuild. BEATERS are going for $900 at Big 5, and about $650-$800 for beaters on Gun Broker. I agree with $900. It looks like an excellent specimen.
