Huber anti friction triggers..??

Hi All,
I am on the look out for a good trigger....Timney,Huber...?
As my mint Springfield looks practicaly new....the trigger action is not what i want...?
The acton is hard,heavy and there is some creep...
Thats why i want to replace my original trigger by a match trigger.
I have red something about Huber anti friction triggers made for the 1903?
Does anyone of you guys have some experience with those?
As it seems they are fully ajustable for creep and overtravel...
It does'nt look like a Timney trigger at all.
I would like to use a model that is looking like the original one...
What kind should i use???

Never heard of the Huber trigger, but perhaps someone else has. I have an old Canjar in one of my 03A3's that works very well. It is a single stage trigger adjustable for pull weight and overtravel. It wasn't cheap when I bought it and I had to watch for a while for one. If you find one for sale don't be bashful on the price. There are a couple of other replacement triggers out there but I have always liked Canjar products from the days when I did a lot of shooting with a Model 52 equipped with a Canjar. By the way, the Canjar is really easy to install but it's nice to have the instruction sheet. It's funny to watch the expression on a persons face when they first shoot my Canjar equipped 03A3. They generally will look at the rifle and say"what the hell???" Rick H.

I haven't heard of a Huber. To install a Timney, you will have to open up the stock inletting for it to physically fit. Sometimes you have to modify the trigger slot in the triggerguard as well. To avoid altering the stock or TG, look for a Dayton/Traister. When installed it will look more like a military trigger than a Timney. Better yet would be to have your trigger worked on. Get used to the first stage, it is nothing but take-up. Try for a 3.5# second stage and it will be perfectly acceptable.

OK, I just looked back at your posting and saw there was a link to the Huber. Seems like a decent design. It just lets one adjust the first stage take-up and over travel. The second stage will still depend on the sear surfaces and spring tension. The Dayton/Traister trigger will sell at retail for about 1/3 the price of the Huber.

i fail to see how a trigger would improve the rifles ability for accuaracy.. a standard 2 stage trigger with a clean crisp second stage works fine.
