Contacting kindred spirits

I have no idea who to address this to or which forum to use for this (if any), but what I'm looking for is a means of contacting others like us that would be interested in sitting down together witha beer or whatever to compare notes, ideas, etc. But even more, to get out on the range for some informal shooting with these old war horses (the guns, not the guys!). I've found a couple or three local guys, but I know there are many more in my immediate area, or so I've deduced from some of the comments made in various posts.
Sorta like a personals column or a dating service?
Just to start off, I'm in the Tehachapi area of central California.
