yes interesting, some type of enfield sling
Just a guess, but I reckon it is a range sling used by a shooter who used the sling for support whilst shooting and didn't want it loosening up. So, he had the extra webbing bits sewn on to act as stop blocks for the hooks.
IIRC Belgian or Danish sling, as used on SAFN rifle.
Its a Belgium Issued sling for the FAL rifle
It is Belgian. The cross pieces are to keep the sling from loosening while gun is being carried.
