Brownells.
Or use the tip of a bullet.
You need a photo? I don't have one. But... 4 prong or 5?
The stumpy one's for M16 A1 type five prong and rear sight drum. The long one is for four prong M4 with optic. The thing is, because of the diversity of sight systems, you almost need to carry both now days. Or, like he said, use a bullet. It's faster.
A1 5 prong. Just learned here that there is a difference in sights for an A1 or A2. Thanks
I've read, that you can use a spent 223 or 5.56 x 45 shell casing, by filing, or cutting groves in it with a dremel tool, will suffice for adjusting the front sight.
I have a couple of different front sight tools that fit a couple of different rifles, but not all. The tools live in the smith box and I use a bullet tip.
That's a fact, I use a cartridge myself most of the time. FMJ only for that. In the army WE taught not to use a cartridge for a tool except in an emergency, so how could I use one on the range with recruits? In action of course it wouldn't matter. On the range by myself, I don't care. I know whether the bullet's damaged or not. He just wanted to see the difference, so here they are.
