7.62mm conversions
I recently came across this rifle. It appears to replicate the L8 rifle conversion, 4 groove 7.62mm barrel, correct magazine, extractor and even clip guide insert. These are the only markings on it though.

Does anyone have any details to offer on the rifles history? Value?

Looks like a charnwood ordance built 7.62 from England.They bought up a pile of 7.62 parts in the late 80,s-early 90,s and built around 300 #4 762 rifles.Yours is # 54-built in 1989.Quite rare,maybe lest than 20 in canada.

Yes, the CO is the giveaway. I don't know how it would have got to Canada for sure, but they (Charnwood) used to have pretty close ties to Collector's Source & did lots of deals with them, so that's a possibility........
