Best source of parts
With regard to the parts I need to complete the rifle to original condition, I've been to both Gunparts and Springfield sporters (Spgfld Sp). Gunparts does not list mfr on any of their parts. Spgfld Sp show a variety of mfr Indian? British? Australian, etc.; which ones would I want to specifically look for or doesn't it make a difference? For example, they show two forearms, one is new (EFD, cut for cut-off) and the other is used - Indian - from DP rifles. What is EFD and what is DP rifles? I just want a representative No. 1 Mk III. With the rifle I have, the serial numbers of the parts do not match. Everything appears to function, although I haven't fired it. Your assistance greatly appreciated. Thanks, Dennis

EFD forestocks are new in the wrap replacement stocks made in the 1930's by RSAF Enfield in England.
DP parts are often stamped DP. DP means drill purpose. The parts will generally works, but are less desireable from a collector's standpoint.
