How to tell if the Forestock is properly installed
How can one tell if the fore-stock of a No4 Mk2 rifle is properly installed (bedded, attached)?
I see that the stock fore tip should have a 4 to 7 pound upward pressure on to the barrel which is easy enough to check. Also that there should be .020" clearance between the barrel and forestock chanel except at the fore tip ande knox form (?) again easy enough to check. BUT how do you check to see if the contact areas around the magazine well and the draws are proper?
