I thought it was about time I listed some images of my No4(T) that I became the proud owner of last October.
I know the scope can isn't original to the scope (be interesting to know if that scope is out there somewhere).
It would also be good if anyone could throw some light on the markings on the transit case.......
One of the images shows how well the rifle still shoots with handloaded ammunition

Nice piece, sure shoots well! I'm very impressed, and a little envious!

The rifle clearly shoots well, but let's not forget the user. You'll have to let us see what groups you get from the L42 when it arrives.

Very nice Neil, like Roger say,s will be good to get a comparison between this and the your new L42.
(On the subject of these two classic,s have posted a thread in the WTB forum)

Thanks Roger and Bigduke.
Roger - with regards the results on the Huns Head target the sandbag has to take some of the credit!
When I bought the No4(T) both turrets on the scope were seized - a common problem apparently on a rifle that hasn't been used for a while - this one hadn't been used/shot for over 10 years.
I have Peter's excellent book on No32 scopes and having a background in precision engineering decided to tackle the job myself. (After a LOT of deliberation though!)
Being methodical and very careful it proved to be OK - the grease had hardened in the drums, so they were completely stripped, cleaned and sparingly re-greased with graphite grease.
They work a treat now!
The rifle is also one that is fitted with a solid foresight block - its cetainly been with the rifle since the FTR in the 50's as it has Suncorite on it that matches the barrel..
