What is the correct front sight post for a 1943 Husgvarna m96 rifle?
The same as for the normal Carl Gustaf M96. There is no difference in the front sight, but some Husqvarna 96s had a different backsight.
The Husqvarna made rearsight base was a different width to the CG made rifle...as the Husqvarna made rearsight was graduated FROM 100m & upwards
As for front sights, the std types were used, but as the M43 Husqvarna was predominantly an FSR rifle then all sorts of front sight were used; from std army issue single blade to tunnel sights, etc.
My own M43 has a std front sight & a Faldt aperture receiver sight - which was marketed as being both a target AND military unit.
The std. rearsight is missing from mine - and the markings on the sight body are CG - so the rifle either left the factory with a CG rear, or one was added at a later date. The reason this happened is that some of the target rear sights such as the SM and others fitted the CG rearsight body, but not the Husqvarna body...
