I just got this inland 600K block for $725

What i know

1. Inland

2. No import mark

3. Bore is shinny, crown is great

4. No rust

5. Flat Bolt Inland marked

6. Very Small W on recoil lug and inside sling well.

7. Hammer/trigger marked Inland

What i don't know,

Is this thing for real? Does it have any repo parts on it (fake). Whats up with the 100s on the stock (on both sides)

Well the rear sight is coded for IBM and I am pretty sure it's a reproduction and it looks like it's on back wards. The SA barrel band is a cut down type 3. The trigger housing may be a little bit too early for your serial number but it's close to the break point I think. I would guess the numbers on the stock could be for almost anything. It is a nice looking stock with nice grain to it.

Welcome to the Forum. Pretty nice looking carbine. I think it's probably a DCM/CMP purchase that somebody has tried to make more 'correct' by cutting the bayonet lug off of the barrel band and sticking on the fake rear sight. I see some good parts there though and we can't even see the trigger housing details. The Winchester stock looks pretty good from what I can see and the recoil plate is probably original to the stock. The bolt looks right for your carbine. The slide is Inland but appears to be a later Type IV which could not be original to your receiver, but I could be wrong since you only showed the top view. The INLAND logo on the trigger housing looks like the very early large logo to me and if so the early Type I housing is probably too early for your carbine, but it is pretty rare in the original finish like yours. Bruce McAskill is correct in that the rear sight base appears to be mounted backwards in the receiver as the 's' should be to the left side of the carbine - but the aperture leaf is installed backwards in the base and so is oriented correctly on the carbine. The repro base could just be marked wrong but if it is installed backwards I hope it didn't do much damage to your receiver dovetail. Congratulations and enjoy shooting your carbine.

BTW, I forgot to note that it's most probable that the 9-43 barrel is original to the receiver as it came out of the Inland factory in Dayton, Ohio in September (or October) of 1943.
