Anyone after a Enforcer in the UK?

Its not me selling but I thought some one may be intrested. Its intrsting that its currently in .22 but the seller states it can be converted back to 7.62mm

.22 Enforcer No: 727 (yes this is .22Lr)

.22 Enfield Enforcer. Serial number 727. (back from proof)
This unusual Enfield Enforcer action based rifle has a pupose built .22 Enfield barrel and bolt fitted, with military marks on the barrel and action and a new current Birmingham proof.

The .22 barrel and bolt is unique to this action and is not seen on other converted .22 Enfield No4 rifles.

The side of the action has the usual marks " Enforcer 7.62m/m 727

D/E (together) 80 PAT.APP.FOR"

It is fitted with target sights PH 5E4 and a Pecar scope.

This rifle could be converted back to 7.62 with the correct bolt and barrel.

This rifle can be purchased without the sights for £1099.00

Interesting - shame its another Enforcer 'gone', but I guess it may allow someone who cannot get a full-bore on their FAC to own an 'Enforcer'

Seems somewhat expensive for what it is - in effect a .22rf No4 Enfield with a scope.

I wonder if whoever did the conversion kept the original bolt & barrel ?

Any further pics ?
maybe showing if it is magazine fed, single shot etc, design of the unique bolt / bolt head ?

I would say its the other way round Alan, an Enforcer with a No4 .22 barrel, and bolt head. If any one does buy it and wants to convert it back, I will swap them a 7.62mm heavy barrel for the .22 one.

Certainly if the buyer does not have a spare barrel it may prove to be a fairly expensive restoration project (unless he/she can do a deal with you of course, BD6!).......

Looks like a Brit No7 barrel with the Enforcer bolt body cut back. Bolt heads appears to be Canadian CNo7. Can't imagine why one would do a conversion this way...it would make a whole lot more sense just to install a 22 liner in the Enforcer barrel and use the CNo7 bolt head. Headspace would be a non issue. This would be a costly 7.62 restoration as you are looking for an Enforcer barrel and bolt...not many of those out there as I've found out. Just my opinion, Ron
