My Retro Warrior Wall
The recently completed my "Warrior Wall" in my Man Cave (Den) at our new house. Covers history of 20+ years law enforcement service and 5 years military service.

The center piece is a shadow box I made in 1989 when I had a manufacturer's license and was going to produce commemorative GAU-5A/As along with a buddy that was Air Force in Loas. It was going to fund some research on USAF involvement in SE Asia beginning in 1950. The Kalifornia Assault Weapon Ban hit and killed the project. I thought it was a good home for my faux-602.

There is a man from my Church that was a mechanic in the AF. And he said he was in Thailand. One time I told his story to some guys on ARFcom (what little bit I knew of it) and the said he was lying or something because we were never "officially" there. Or something like that. I see that you have it on your box though. I wonder if you knew him. What did you do in the AF?

I was in the AR reserve/ANG (mixed Guard and Reserve unit) 1979 to 1981. I was active Duty Army 1974 to 1977 and Inactive Army reserve 1977 to 1979 when I joined the AF unit. My friend was in Thailand, though.

I'll have to get the time frame of when he told me he was there. What was your MOS? Although I won't know what it is by number, so I guess I should just ask what you did. Hehehehe LOL.

I was Military Police, then went to the Criminal Investigations school in 1976 and was a Military Police Investigator. In the Air Force, I was Security Police, but mostly worked in the Arms Room.

Aaah. He is a pretty upstanding guy. I doubt you had to book him ever. Hehehhehehe His name is Dave Hanson. He's got a big booming voice and he's a good one to cut through the bull. You know?
