Pakistani 7.62 NATO

What do weknow about these strange rifles? I apparently have one, is marked exactly like as stated in Poyer's book, (7.62 mm NATO M II) , but the book itself is kinda out of date, 2nd edition, 1997. He had very little to say about them other than how they're marked- has anything new come to light in the past 15 years?.
When Ibought it, it was (mis)reresented as a USN conversion, I believe unwittingly as it was from a reputable, old time dealer, at the defunct Great Western gun show.

Indian capture guns via Pakistan. No one has much real data on these. Likely converted in Pakistan with US Army assistance. I have been told they are sleeved and they were done right. The sleeves are threaded and will not come out. Both barrels and guns were sold at the Great Western Show. What did you buy?

Thanks Steve, that's good input. It's a complete rifle, mostly correct SA parts except for the HRA barrel, with an early HRA stock ( small DOD stamp), pretty beat up but sound. I'll probably replace the wood with something a little prettier and go shoot it, a lot ! If the insert is truly threaded in, should be no worries. Sure do miss the old Great Western, though- wonderful LA politics in action!
