Identification help?
OK I got this given to me being told it was a Ross 1910 barrel. But there are some obvious issues here (pipe-wrench marks aside). The chamber being a no-brainer, is quite truncated for any M-10 I have seen, threads are 3/4" long, right hand thread aprox 12tpi. It is chambered in .303, and the relief cut for the extractor appears correct. Length from muzzle to threads is 27 1/4", 28"OAL. Muzzle does not portray a military crown, so it may well have been chopped down. Muzzle dia. 5/8" Also there are NO proof marks whatsoever.
So any thoughts? Does this match anything? Perhaps chopped at the muzzle and chamber and re-threaded?

Full length MkIII barrel is 30.5" A sporter barrel would be lighter and have serial number stamp. A cut back MkIII barrel IMO.

Someone trying to get back to a Ross dimension chamber rather than a "E" or "LC" chamber?
