I'm working on restoring (at least to shooting condition if not entirely historically accurate) a Lithgow No. 1 Mk III* that had been sporterized. I've been collecting parts, but the fore-end I received is said to be teak or some kind of mahogany. I believe it might be teak - I don't think mahogany. Were No. 1 Mk III* stocks ever made out of teak??
