Berthier 1892/15

I got an early Christmas present this morning. Just bought this Friday so was surprised to get it already.

Berthier 1892 with the 1915 modification to the hook. Wood handle instead of composite. Matching serial numbers on scabbard and blade. Additional "3" on pommel base.

My Berthier rifle is now complete.

This last photo shows the blood groove on the top of the blade

Merry Christmas and congratulations. While a good bayonet, the truly exceptional acquisition is the Berthier specific frog, you did well.
