Some parts on the rifle have a stamped 52 on them (manufactured 1952?)
It was an un-issued rifle, I however... can not allow that and have shot 20 rounds of commercial 303 ammo with it.
I read the post(sticky) regarding some info on this rifle.I would like to know what they are worth and how common are they today?

Hello Drako. If you drop down a few threads, I posted three of my newer ones. Your Enfield was made at the ROF Fazakerley and should have the month and date etched on the action.....ie 5/52. Some of the stocks were SN stamped and some were not but you will find proof cartouches on the butt and forestock. Not many people know that much about the newer ones, however, the stocks were finished with linseed oil....soaked for a period of time. Does it have a blonde Beech stock? As to value, many were imported in the early ninties when they were released from war reserves. I have paid from 375 to 450 for mine but have seen them sell for 650 and the cocooned ones still in the wrap bring upwards of 900 to 1K. They are wonderful shooters. Regards, Rick.
Serial number "UF 55 A4XXX" means the rifle was made on 1955, not 1952 - though some of the components may have been made as early as 1952 and not used in production until 1955.
I also suspect your rifle is also a more uncommon BSA made No.4MkII.
If it were a Faz, it would have a markings like this:
"No.4 MkII (F)
10/55 PF32XXXX"
Finally, the serial number is A4XXX. The other markings are manufacturer codes and year of manufacture.
Thanks Claven.....my oversight. Yes, it is a 1955 rifle and most likely was in a cocoon at the time of import and it should have a real nice blonde Beech stock. I own 3 of them one still coconned and they are the best Milsurp shooters I own. Regards, Rick.
