Unknown trigger housing marking
I have a similar marking on one of my carbines but havn't had a chance to photograph it. Mine is lightly struck and I barley noticed it. I found a similar marking online which is the photo attached. Both markings are on an Inland. Can anyone share any knowledge on this marking?
Re: Unknown trigger housing marking
After I thought about it I figured the "land" was part of "Inland". Just wasn't sure if it had some significance or it is just a common inland inspection stamp? I only have 1 Inland so I had nothing to compare it to. It is weird how everthing is stamped deep exept for the "IN". On a side note a guy at a local shop sold a Inland, post war rebuild yesterday, I over heard how much he gave him for it, when I called today to check on the price he told me $900...ouch :banghead:...but he would deal with me cause I'm a regular...when I asked him why so much he said they did more "research" and found that it was completely original. Although I corrected him he didn't want to come down cause someone was considering it as we spoke. I know prices are up right now but I couldn't make an offer as I didn't want to insult him. Hopefully it will sit and I can grab it up and add another Inland. The only thing different on this one was the mag release which I believe had a "M" with a "WA"? Underneath it. It did have a bayonet which I didn't see but wil try to find out more about it.
