Hi everyone thought I would try and past some pic's of my first but not last Lee Enfield
well here goes with the pictures.
Sorry about the $ sign on the NO4  Getting new stock parts this week. If anyone can help me on my new to me Enfield, I would be grateful. Will post more pic's when I get the stock done. Thanks mike
WOW! Is this the rifle you posted about restoring? It is quite a looker. I guess I`m not the only one who went with a darker wood for the stock. And it`s even the same arsenal mine`s from. Gook luck with your beauty.
Yes to your question. And thanks for the compliment she is a pretty gal isn't she  I will try and match the rear butt stock . will send more pictures when done. % groove barrel shoots great. Can't wait to take her deer hunting and maybe a few wild bore.
Here`s what mine used to look like before I did the resto on it. I should be able to post some new pics when I get a new camera and try to clear some space out of my attachments
Very nice how do you like the scope on it. And how was the scope mount for installation do you have to do any tapping to mount. I am looking to pick the another Enfield up at local gun shop. If he hasn't put it on the books yet.
Might just go ahead and find a Canadian buttsock as well. The one shown in the photos has been sanded enough to make the grip area look a bit odd. Alternatively, you might try to reshape it, but it would probably move the grip area too far back.
Here's the grip area on a Fazackerly, but the contours should be the same:

The only side view I can find is of a Long Branch N0.4 Mk.I* (T). Just ignore the cheek piece..:

Thank very much I have a new butt stock coming with the set, It is unissued but I don't know what it is. It will be in tomorrow. can anyone tell me more about my Enfield by the numbers. This a great forum. one question I have on the bolt to the rear stock is a number of turns when putting it back on or do you just tighten until it stops. thanks for all the help.
I`m not quite sure how they installed the scope mount onto the rifle itself. It looks like they just drilled shallow screw holes into portions of the receiver and where the stripper clips go and used very small but strong screws to attach it. I thought that what was done to it would pose a problem later on but I had the receiver looked over and there doesn`t seem to be any real structural problem since I hunt with the thing and it hasn`t blown up in my face yet. I love the scope on mine. It makes it that much more of a deer killer by increasing at least my chances of hitting somethingQuote:
